Position Title: Director of Mobile Overdose Prevention Services
Term Date: Immediately – March 2025
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Wage: $35.00 - $43.00
The Director of Mobile Overdose Prevention Services position supports the Mobile Overdose Prevention Services initiatives by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Mobile Overdose Prevention Site this includes program development, planning, reporting, and supervision. The Director of Mobile Overdose Prevention Services collaborates with the Executive Director, Program Directors, and the Community Advisory Circle to ensure that the obligations and commitments of the program are being met and in accordance with the philosophies of Sunshine House.
Personal Qualifications
An understanding and commitment to the principles of harm reduction, Indigenous cultural resurgence, and social justice
Transparency and the ability to create healthy strong boundaries
Possesses knowledge of organizational goals, standards, policies, and procedures (Is sensitive to the interrelationship of people and functions within the organization)
General knowledge of the populations and communities served by Sunshine House in Winnipeg
Knowledge of an Indigenous language, or a relevant additional language such as French
Professional Qualifications
Lived experience as related to Sunshine House programs
A degree in a relevant discipline, professional designation, or 2+ years in community organization finance management
Valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a vehicle. (Preferred Class 4 or a willingness to obtain)
